Surprise for our boys..

surprise...surprise..another one week to go~~

Long weekend;) yes...yes...

Di pagi jumaat, ketika bersiap-siap nak ke tadika:

Afnan: mama, hari ni jumaat, kan? Yeay, nanti cuti 2 hari..
Mama: bukan 2 hari, tapi cuti 4 hari
Afnan: empat??? (tak percaya sambil senyum sampai ke telinga)

Agaknya bagi Afnan, cuti 4 hari umpama kegembiraan pekerja bila dapat bonus! Hehe..

Afnan nu'man bin ahmad fadzli, anak sulung kami dah masuk 6 tahun jumaat yg lepas pada tanggal 1 feb 2013.
Walaupon baru berusia 6 tahun, jelas terasa kematangannya sebagai abang kepada adik2 dan sebagai anak sulung.

-Boleh diharap untuk jaga adik2.
-Selalu tlg ingatkan mama dan cuba membantu mama (teman isi minyak kereta, teman beli brg dapur)
-pandai berjenaka
-boleh diajak bersembang

Thank you so much Allah for this precious gift;) insyaAllah akan kami berikan yg terbaik untuk Afnan, Ayman dan Athif.

new tool in the house and 1st, 2nd, 3rd

It's 11.07 pm. Our boys are sleeping. Am planning to iron my workshirt and afnan's nursery uniform. But somehow I don't have the courage right now (it's just an excuse ;p). I wish i can have robots to help us folding & ironing my clothes;) seems impossible...
We just bought dryer machine 2-3 weeks go. Prior buying the machine, we're always skeptical, towards dryer, in our mindset it will fasten the wear & tear of our clothes. Anyway we found that it's a very helpful tool especially during weekdays that we can quickly dry the clothes within 1-2 hours, and there is 'cupboard' setting which can be chosen, it will keep on 'rachetting' (machinery terms) thus once drying is done, the cloth will not shrink, it will maintain in such a way that it's easy to be folded and iron. Promote electrolux, hihi.

Well, coming back to the original topic, first, second and third..just to would to share my experience and observation of typical kid's characteristic and behaviour. This might be just a co-incidence, due to surrounding or could be you have the same experience too? Do share...

First child: independent, learn through trial and error, concern about his/her siblings and parents, have strong character (normally leadership), high perseverance. 

Second child: typically bigger size than the elder brother/sister, not choosy in term of food intake, would like to attract attention, easily get jealous of other siblings, pampered. 

Third child: learning curve is faster as they learn via oservation and interaction with the two elder brothers/sisters (in terms of crawling, walking, talking), tough, normally will get closer to the first child as compared to second child.

yang ke-tujuh

Kami menyambut ulangtahun yg ke-tujuh secara sederhana pada sabtu malam ahad yang lalu. Seisi keluarga keluar makan bersama.

Teringat kembali saat kami mula mendirikan rumahtangga. Dan kini sudah bersama tiga hero kecil yang tangkas dan riang. Rasa seakan-akan mimpi. Di sepanjang tujuh tahun ini, pelbagai pengalaman telah dilalui. Pengalaman manis, pahit, suka, duka semuanya bercampur aduk. Apa-apapun, saya sentiasa berdoa moga kami terus berusaha menjadi ibubapa terbaik demi anak-anak dan isteri/suami terbaik buat pasangan masing-masing. Masih banyak yang perlu dan boleh diperbaiki.

Tahun 2013 bakal menjelma. Sungguh pantas masa berlalu. Terus terang saya agak gusar dan bimbang untuk memulakan 2013. Mungkin kerana saya sudah terbayang situasi bagaimana menguruskan keluarga dan kehidupan; sedangkan suami ditugaskan di tempat yg berbeza. InsyaAllah tiap apa yg ditetapkan kepada kita, pasti ada hikmahnya. Ini apa yg saya belajar daripada rakan sekerja "kebergantungan kepada Allah"..insyaAllah dengan adanya uaha, doa, ikhtiar dan tawakal kepada-Nya, akan dipermudahkan segala urusan.

Anyway some short background; the original plan was to go for yellow colour this year. nonetheless, when we went for shopping at Gene Martino, there isn't enough yellow baju melayu for afnan and athif. Thus, we changed to purple. It was last-meeting-shopping; just several days before raya. Apparently we just realized during raya; purple become the fav theme colour for most family this year, hehe. Afterall, it's a nice colour for us as well:)

I found this book interesting "Be a great mum"

After staying at KL for almost 2 weeks, we're back to Bintulu. ayman and afnan was very excited to meet us. They're excited to see athif can walk. Hotel was havoc with us (2 adults and 3 boys), we're also tight with work, but managed to catch some time with family and KL friends, hehe. Among all, Afnan was very excited once he knew that we're going back to Bintulu. He even mentioned he missed his school, his friends..then only I realized that he haven't gone back for 6 months! At least i came back once in april.

Packing up our luggage to Bintulu was not that easy. just imagine after a few months athif and I residing at Munich + after some shopping at KL + afnan's and ayman's luggage from penang + papa's luggage for 2 weeks in KL = total of 10 big equivalent luggages! as we didn't manage to fit in everything into our bags, some of them were put into big nice paper bag, and then we went for wrappping at klia.

Flying back to bintulu. As the plane nearly approached our destination, i can feel the plane keep on moving around at the same place over and over again. Then the pilot announced that the weather in btu was not that fine: heavy rain. Thus, the flight has to redirected to kota kinabalu..hmmmm.. once landed at kinabalu, afnan asked "dah smpai bintulu ke?" his question was so innocent. We explained to him what happen and after several Q&A, then he was satisfied why we haven't arrived at bintulu. Cute! Then after about half an hour, the plan departed again to bintulu. Alhamdulillah we safely arrived bintulu at 4.30 pm. Just imagine, normally the flight will arrive at 1.30 pm. ada hikmah di sebaliknya. Yg penting, alhamdulillah selamat sampai.

Then here comes the unpacking part, in which my hubby's area of expertise. Even packing is also his area of expertise. Hihi. We unpacked slowly; phase by phase. Monday: we sent afnan to school. Ayman and athif to Makmah. Alhamdulillah everything was OK (though I could hear athif was crying while we left him). Kakmah texted me that they are fine.

 Oooh just realized, I've diverted from the ENTRY SUBJECT. I found this book at Kinokuniya just now; will be my reading material throughout this week while away from my family:( the book seems interesting and catchy and i hope this could give inspiration for me, to become a better mum. Will read word by word. papa, take the greatest care of yourself and our boys. I miss you all (already)...
